Jog over & support the NHS in the Jingle Bee Virtual
Festive fun runners wanted for this virtual 5K
The Running Bee Foundation invites people to get into the festive spirit this December by completing 5K whilst helping the NHS. Their new Jingle Bee Jog Virtual is open for buzz-ness and there is a Garmin watch as the prize for the best photo.
This virtual version of their popular Christmas-themed 5K is about having fun: participants have the month of December in which to run/jog/walk or saunter along a route of their own choosing and receive a limited edition medal in return. Fancy dress is encouraged so groups of friends can opt for the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ look or families choose the ‘full Santa’ as they complete the distance in one go or as several run/jogs/walks.
The organisers are keen for participants to share their festive jogs and photos on social media and tag The Running Bee Foundation and NorthCare Charity. Their mascot will pick the best Festive Foto and the winner will receive an early Christmas present in the form of a Garmin watch.
Participants are asked to abide by government and NHS guidelines by remembering to stay two metres apart and washing their hands when they have finished their exercise.
All profits from this virtual event go to NorthCare Charity which helps the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group provide services to Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, Rochdale Infirmary, Salford Royal and The Royal Oldham Hospital and the surrounding communities.
Runners are known for their altruism as Kevin Harmer, Event Logistics & Sponsor Activation Manager at The Running Bee Foundation confirms, saying: “We are sure our supporters will be out with their festive bubbles to show their running spirit and helps us raise money for fantastic causes in your area.”
