The East Grinstead 10K Andy Ripley Memorial Run is a community race organised by East Grinstead Runners and based at Imberhorne School. The mainly flat course explores the surroundings of East Grinstead, with the majority of the route following scenic bridleways before returning onto residential roads for the closing section.
Runners can expect a varied 10K course, with the first 7K following well maintained bridleways and the final 3K taking place on road. The route is fully marshalled and includes a water station at halfway, while chip timing provides accurate results for runners tackling the varied surfaces and changing sections of the course.
The East Grinstead 10K attracts runners of all abilities, from first time 10K participants to experienced club athletes, and is known for its friendly local atmosphere. Its combination of scenic bridleways, road running and a largely flat profile creates an accessible but varied 10K, while the event also raises funds for East Grinstead Lions and local charity Being Neighbourly.
