Dunstable Downs Challenge Half Marathon

The Dunstable Downs Challenge Half Marathon is organised by Dunstable Road Runners and starts and finishes at Creasey Park Football Centre in Dunstable. Held under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit, the event offers a challenging trail running experience across the landscapes of the Chiltern Hills.

The self navigated Half Marathon route leaves Creasey Park to explore Dunstable Downs and the surrounding countryside on a mixture of public footpaths, bridleways and short sections of quiet country lanes. Checkpoints and guide runners at target paces support participants throughout the course, while a GPX file is provided to assist with navigation.

The event features a finisher's medal, supervised baggage drop, refreshments, changing facilities, medical cover and on course drinks stations. Combining varied trail terrain, panoramic countryside scenery and the distinctive challenge of self navigated racing, the Dunstable Downs Challenge Half Marathon is a popular fixture in the Bedfordshire trail running calendar.
