This race has come a long way since its birth in 1980 and although not the biggest it has gained a reputation as one of the best organised city marathons with amazing crowd support

The course is mostly flat with a long stretch through Phoenix Park. There are not many hills but there is one long uphill section at mile 21 which will test your legs.
