3,000 runners are expected to take to the streets of Doncaster on 26 November as the city's 10K race makes its return. The Doncaster City 10K is one of Yorkshire’s best 10K races and has previously raised over £10,000 for its charitable partners, Doncaster Deaf Trust, Children’s Air Ambulance and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

As the race enters its sixth year, race organisers have announced Yorkshire house builders Hoober Homes as sponsors of the 2023 event. Hoober Homes a family business, based in Rotherham have built several new homes in Doncaster, including the Thorpe Gardens estate, built on the former Doncaster Bloodstocks Sales Building located near Doncaster Racecourse, the start and finish of the event.

Race organisers, Curly's Athletes, commented: "We are delighted to have the support of the Hoober Homes team for the Doncaster City 10K. Their support further helps us develop the event, supports our charity aims and our BIG ambition to get our communities moving. It’s going to be an exciting time working in partnership with Hoober Homes, who are just as excited about the day as we are!"

The event which enjoys a course around the heart of Doncaster, will now be known as the Hoober Homes Doncaster 10K, with Hoober Homes themselves entering a team. A spokesperson commented: "We are incredibly excited to be involved in such a fantastic event. We believe these events are so important for local communities and charities and can only thank Curly’s Athletes for giving us this opportunity."
