The Doncaster City 10K is organised by Curly's Athletes and starts and finishes at Doncaster Racecourse, with a fast road course through the centre of the city.
The route has been designed with minimal climbing and strong personal best potential, with only a small rise later in the race. Runners return to the racecourse for an atmospheric finish in front of the grandstand, where spectators can watch the closing stages from the stadium seating.
The event is chip timed and takes place on closed roads, with a large field of up to 3,500 runners. The racecourse provides indoor pre-race facilities, toilets, parking and refreshments close to the start and finish. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, along with the event's traditional pie and hot chocolate.
