Roaring & Running

With roaring dinosaurs and winding trails, this family-friendly event promises a memorable way to enjoy a summer's evening....

Norwich Road Runners have announced the return of the popular Dinosaur Dash set to take place on the evening of Friday 8 August at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure near Norwich. This lively summer fixture offers a fun and fast course through the park’s twisting trails and prehistoric scenery, promising excitement for runners of all ages and abilities.

The evening will kick off at 6.45pm with the 100-metre Diddy Dash, a short race designed especially for children under six, who are welcome to run alongside their parents. At 7pm, the action continues with a 2.5K race for juniors aged six to 16, followed by the main 5K race at 7.30pm which is open to all runners aged 11 and up.

Both the junior and 5K routes start and finish within the park grounds and are chip timed. Each finisher will receive a bespoke medal and trophies will be awarded to the top male and female finishers and age category winners, with presentations taking place in Dippy’s Theatre.

The event offers more than just a run. With the park open exclusively for the evening, it’s a chance for families and spectators to enjoy Roarr!’s unique atmosphere. Refreshments will be available from Jurassic Snacks and there’s plenty of space for picnics, making it a relaxed evening out as well as a sporting challenge.
