Culloden Run Runners

Run Like A Jacobite

One of the country's most scenic events is back this October...

Celebrating the very best of Scottish history and scenery, the much-loved Culloden Run returns on 23 October. The award-winning running event is wholly organised by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) and is based at the iconic Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre near Inverness.

The event is set within a stunning historic landscape, and with both a 10K and 17.46K option attracts a great cross-section of runners and joggers from all over Scotland and the wider UK as well as from abroad who all come to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this event and at the same time help people who are striving to recover their quality of life.

The 17.46K race is a testing challenge over a 10.83 mile route which passes through stunning scenery and by historic landmarks including Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, River Nairn and the awesome River Nairn Viaduct.

The 10K is an exciting, fast, mostly flat route which passes around the quiet perimeter roads of Culloden Battlefield, rewarding runners with beautiful panoramic views of the Highland hills. With descriptions like this, you can be guaranteed that it’s not just the running that will take your breath away!

Suitable for runners and joggers of all abilities, it’s time to follow in the footsteps of the Jacobite rebels and take on the most historic run in Scotland! Join the CHSS clan and help people with chest, heart and stroke conditions live life to the full as you battle your way round the course.

All proceeds from the run go to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, making sure people across Scotland get the vital support they need when they return home from hospital.
