Start Your Racing Season In Style

Racing returns to Cheshire's Oulton Park this February…

The F1 season ended mired in controversy at the start of December last year, but if you're looking for a fast and fun event to kick off your racing season why not channel your inner Lewis Hamilton, fire up the turbochargers and toe the line at the Oulton Park Half Marathon, 10K & Duathlon.

Scheduled for 13 February, these races have been designed with speed in mind. The course offers a smooth, traffic-free surface and a number of excellent vantage points for friends to watch and cheer on competitors. It’s the perfect preparation if you’re training for a spring marathon in 2022.

The track, built into the contours of the Cheshire countryside, is regarded as one of England’s most picturesque motor racing circuits. Runners in the half marathon will cover six laps with 10K competitors tackling three.

A spokesperson from organiser, OP Events said: "The course is broken into laps based on the distance, there are lap boards giving you approx distance and lap counting. We will have lap counting in place to check you have done enough but not to tell you how many you have left.

"The course is not flat but gives a good experience of hills and nice downhills, clean air and no cars to deal with along with being able to use the full width of the international track."

There's plenty on offer for those taking part with organisers promising results will be texted to your mobile phone as you cross the line, plentiful water stations, closed roads and of course a bespoke finisher’s medal.

With just over four weeks until race day, don't waste time and visit the event website today for more information.
