Cleethorpes Maravan Day 1 takes place at Haven Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park in Humberston, Lincolnshire. Organised by Vigilantes Maravan CIC, the Saturday programme includes a Marathon, Half Marathon and four person Marathon Relay, forming the opening day of the two day festival of running.
The flat, multi lap course follows mostly paved access roads around the holiday park, with a few short off road sections and minimal traffic. Marathon runners complete seven laps, passing the refreshment station approximately every 3.7 miles. The route is suited to runners seeking a sociable marathon experience, with flexible early starts and generous time allowances for those needing additional time.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with goody bags provided for individual runners and refreshments available throughout the event. The feeding station supplies water, soft drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks. The event is held under Association of Running Clubs rules, with free parking available at the holiday park.
