Charlie typified the spirit of Garscube Harriers. He was a lovely man; warm and friendly to members – new and old – went out of his way to help others, and represented the club in many races from 2000 till 2012. Charlie was never the fastest runner, but his enthusiasm, determination and effort to run his best endeared him to the hearts of Garscube runners at all races.
