The Big Bear Run 10K takes place from Askham Bryan Wildlife Park near York and combines a scenic closed road race with fundraising for the conservation of Asiatic black bears. Organised by Curly's Athletes in partnership with Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park, the event offers a unique countryside running experience while supporting wildlife conservation.
The accurately measured course starts and finishes within the grounds of Askham Bryan Wildlife Park before heading onto closed rural roads through the picturesque villages of Askham Richard and Bilbrough. Quiet country lanes and gently rolling Yorkshire countryside create an enjoyable route suitable for runners of all abilities.
The event features chip timing, a themed finisher's medal, post race refreshments and entry to Askham Bryan Wildlife Park after the race.
