Test your endurance at the Benfleet 15, a challenging and hugely popular trail race organised by Benfleet Running Club. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Hadleigh Country Park in Essex, this demanding 15-mile event attracts runners looking for something tougher than the traditional road race, combining varied terrain, spectacular scenery and a rewarding sense of achievement.

The route takes runners across Hadleigh Downs, along sections of the Canvey Island sea wall and through parts of the mountain bike course used during the London 2012 Olympics. With steep climbs, undulating trails, muddy tracks and slippery off-road sections, the course provides a real test of strength and stamina. Runners are rewarded with sweeping views across the Thames Estuary, while the exposed coastal stretches can add an extra challenge in winter conditions.

Renowned for its demanding course and fantastic atmosphere, the Benfleet 15 is a firm favourite among trail running enthusiasts. Supportive marshals and fellow competitors help runners tackle the challenging terrain, while the mixture of hills, coastal paths and countryside makes for a memorable racing experience. Whether preparing for a longer-distance event or simply looking for a tough winter challenge, this is a race that promises plenty of satisfaction at the finish.
