The one lap 10k course starts and finishes on the beautiful Bedford Embankment. It runs out towards the Town Bridge. After crossing the bridge you'll follow the lazy River Ouse towards Priory Park and after completing a lap of the beautiful Priory Lake you’ll return to the Embankment and hear the cheers of the crowds at the finish line.
Those tackling the Half Marathon will head back out for a second-lap with a slight extension to make up the accurate 21.1km (13.1 mile) Half Marathon distance.
The whole route is on traffic-free tarmac or firm paths and with less than 50m of elevation across the 10k, and 100m across the Half Marathon its bound to be a PB buster - in fact organisers claim it to be one of the flattest courses in the country!
This event is more than just a run. You’ll be warmed up with personal trainers, welcomed home by a professional commentator and your cheer-squad will be kept fed and watered by quality caterers while you run. Participants can look forward to a supportive atmosphere, custom-designed medals, and free event photos, as well as finish line snacks and goodies to recharge after your run.
A free Family Fun Run will also take place at 8:30am, half an hour before the half marathon and 10K! The Family Fun Run is open to all ages however children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
