ATW Bedford 10K & Half Marathon is a fast and scenic running event starting and finishing beside Russell Park on the Bedford Embankment. Both distances follow traffic free tarmac and firm paths alongside the River Ouse and around Priory Lake, with a free Family Fun Run also taking place before the main races.
Runners can expect a notably flat course designed for fast times and PB attempts. The 10K completes one lap, crossing the Town Bridge and following the River Ouse towards Priory Park before circling Priory Lake and returning to the Embankment. Half Marathon runners head out for a second lap with an extension to complete the full 13.1 mile distance.
The Bedford 10K and Half Marathon provide a flat, traffic free running experience through some of Bedford's attractive riverside parkland. Both main races are chip timed, with course markers, event photos, finisher medals and finish line goodies adding to the race day experience.
