Beat the Boat is a unique 10K race based in Eton and Windsor, combining a flat mixed terrain course with the challenge of racing against spectator boats on the River Thames. Starting from Brocas Fields, the out and back route follows much of the Thames Path beneath the backdrop of Windsor Castle.
Runners choose a target pace boat to chase, creating a different race experience from a traditional 10K. The course includes riverside paths and sections alongside fields, with the route occasionally moving away from the Thames before rejoining the river and heading back towards the finish.
