Badass Trail Race

Badass Running At Balbirnie

This race is fun, fun, fun with mud, water crossings and undulations to delight everyone...

Run like a 'badass' this December and take part in a race that claims to be the 'Bestest Baddest Winter Trail Race in Scotland!' The Badass Trail Race is all set for 10 December and will take runners on a tour of Fife's Balbirnie Park.

Balbirnie Park lies to the northeast of Glenrothes and comprises 416 acres of parkland and woodland gardens - its varied terrain makes it an ideal setting for a trail race. The race distance will be between 4 and 5 miles and will traverse the paths and trails of the park's beautiful woodlands.

Previous competitor, Mark Gormley, commented: "Really enjoyed the Badass Trail Race. It has everything from hills to a stream crossing, a bog and puddle crossing (which I wasn’t expecting) and beautiful woodland. This is my third time running at Balbirnie Park and each route has been different. I would like to say a big well done to all the runners, organisers, marshals, spectators and the tea ladies with the cakes. Make me a definite for the next one!"

The race is sponsored by Badass Brewing Co, hence the name and there will be spot prizes of their delicious craft beer to be won on the day. Other prizes will be on offer for the three overall males and females as well as first prizes in some age group categories. Add to that, all finishers will be rewarded with either a race medal or memento.
