Man with son after completing Edinburgh Marathon

Autism Initiatives UK

It's that time of year. The big races have been run, the times clocked, the medals collected. Now runners are looking ahead to 2019 and to one event in particular - Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF), THE running event of the Scottish calendar.

And for thousands who take part this unique running weekend is made extra special when they run in the colours of their favourite good cause. Charity runners get brilliant support along the route - make sure your name is on your vest - and lots of pampering after the finish.

If you haven't joined a team yet then Autism Initiatives UK want you to pull on their orange vest in May at EMF and support an amazing cause that supports autistic people to achieve their goals in projects across Scotland.

Now is the time to take #ActionForAutism. Could you run a marathon for autism? Maybe 2019 is the year you take on this awesome challenge? Or you may be an experienced marathon athlete looking for a new marathon challenge!

Are you looking for a Half Marathon or 10K or 5K challenge? Join the #ActionForAutism team in Edinburgh in 2019, together we can change lives one step at a time!

Autism is a spectrum condition which means that each person with autism is affected differently and needs different levels of support. Some autistic people have learning disabilities, whereas others have average or above average intelligence. As autism is often misunderstood it can be quite hard for us to gain public support for our work. So please take #ActionForAutism and support Autism Initiatives UK in Scotland!

Sign up today and receive:

  • Discounted entry
  • Fundraising Pack
  • Autism Initiatives running vest or T Shirt
  • Support from our fundraising team
