Auchterarder Running Festival

Love To Run In The Lang Toon

This family-friendly running festival returns to Perthshire in September...

The Auchterarder Running Festival (ARF) will return this year over the weekend of 9/10 September and after the successful addition of a half marathon distance in 2022, organisers are pleased to say that it will be making a return. Those signing up to either the half marathon or 10K can expect the courses to be just as scenic as ever with runners rewarded with a tour of the town and surrounding countryside.

Last year was also the inaugural ARF Junior Fun Run which was such a success that it is also making the cut in 2023. The free event established itself as a key part of the weekend’s events after bringing some running fun to the most important people of all - the kids! The fun run is open to 4-15 year olds and is approximately 1K; every finisher will get a medal and it's completely free to enter!

For those of you who need a bit more of a challenge, the festival’s infamous Double Dare will also return this year and will have those signing up running the 10K on the Saturday followed by the Half Marathon on Sunday.

Those taking part will receive separate event specific medals for each of those races, plus two quality technical finishers t-shirts PLUS every Double Dare finisher will receive a unique extra finishers’ medal. Why not double dare your friends to take part, and join in the fun yourself - after all it will be double the fun!

A spokesperson said: "Starting and finishing in the heart of Auchterarder our picturesque route shows off our surrounding countryside to the max. With generous cut-off times and a friendly vibe we focus on creating an event welcoming to all. You'll love your time in the Lang Toon."
