Apothecarython Fun Run

The Perfect Blend

North East event offers the perfect blend of running and coffee...

The Coffee Apothecary’s annual fun run between its two Aberdeenshire venues will be back for its second year on 27 September, offering runners a relaxed, off-road challenge with a distinctly social twist.

Starting from either the Udny or Ellon café, participants can opt for the Single Espresso one-way route of just over 9K or the Double Espresso return route covering around 20K. With no timing chips, placings or pressure, the emphasis is firmly on enjoying the run, the scenery and the post-race celebrations rather than chasing a PB.

The route follows pavements, a new path and quiet country roads before joining the Formartine and Buchan Way railway line into Ellon. Runners are rewarded with a riverside section before finishing at the Ellon café. Those tackling the double route will receive an espresso at the Udny turnaround before heading back to Ellon.

The café will stay open until 10pm serving draft beers, wines, cocktails, meals, cakes and coffee. Every finisher will receive a medal crafted by Bonnyton Potter and a bag of Coffee Apothecary beans.
