ATW and hoohaah – a match made by the stars?
Two experienced race management teams pool their resources to bring you bigger, better and brand new races
Sometimes the stars align and a great alliance is forged. Active Training World Ltd (ATW) is delighted to announce an exciting long-term partnership with hoohaah Events. The agreement sees ATW partnering hoohaah Events to deliver their events for the foreseeable future.
James Shipley, of ATW, told runABC South: “We are delighted to be partnering with hoohaah events and to be working with Hannah Hodgson and her team. Together we'll be offering some brilliant new events, starting with hoohaah Heritage 10K at Shuttleworth on 12 September. We will also continue to deliver fantastic events the hoohaah ‘family’ have come to expect, such as Wimpole 10K.”.
Hannah, of hoohaah Events, added: “James and his team at ATW have organised the chip timing at hoohaah events for several years now so it seemed a natural partnership to join forces and grow the offering of trail run events in the region. We are very excited to be hosting events at new venues and cannot wait for our first race in September.”
ATW was established in 2011 and is a national events company specialising in Running, Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathon, Cycling, Swimming, and all permutation of swim-bike-run events. They already have a varied calendar of running events from fun runs to marathons.
hoohaah Events was set up by Hannah Hodgson and Alison Cronk in 2012. Their first event, the Wimpole 10K hoohaah in May 2012, was a tremendous success and raised a significant sum for the East Anglia Air Ambulance. Since then, hoohaah has added many trail venues to their portfolio and offer a broad spectrum of distances and events. They have also raised over £100K for local charities.
Before the 'marriage' is formalised, ATW has races coming up fast, led by Farnborough Half Marathon on 11 July and Herts Fast 10K and 5K on 18 July, where the entries are going – well – pretty fast!
