The Aberdeen Runway Run is a unique charity event that gives participants the rare opportunity to run on a fully lit airport runway at midnight. Taking place at the CHC Terminal in Aberdeen, the event combines an unforgettable running experience with fundraising for good causes.
Runners complete a 4K course along the entire length of the runway, covering two lengths of the illuminated airfield. Participants can enter individually or as part of a team event, with team standings determined by combining the times of six runners. All runners start together at midnight, creating a memorable atmosphere unlike any traditional road or trail race.
With chip timing, a commemorative event T shirt, completion prizes and post race refreshments included, the Aberdeen Runway Run offers a distinctive addition to the Scottish running calendar and a rare chance to experience an active runway from a completely different perspective.
