3K on the Green is a regular road race held in Glasgow Green, usually taking place on the last Friday of each month. Starting and finishing at the McLennan Arch, the event provides an accessible and accurately measured 3K in the heart of Glasgow.
Runners follow a fast and flat out and back course alongside the River Clyde, heading upstream for just over 1.5K before turning and returning along the same path. The accurately measured route is suited to experienced club runners chasing a quick 3K as well as recreational runners looking for a short and accessible event.
Every participant receives a race number and a recorded finish time, with runners of all abilities welcome to take part. Entry fees are donated to charity, adding a fundraising purpose to this established monthly Glasgow running event.
