Make Plans For A Spring 10K

Entries are now open for one of Renfrewshire's favourite 10K races...

One of Renfrewshire's best loved 10K races will return in 2025 so if you want to get a springtime event in the diary now is the time to sign up for the Rotary Club of Gryffe Valley 10K which will be held on 18 May.

Starting and finishing in Houston Park, the race will then head out on to the country roads around the villages of Houston, Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir making it an extremely attractive course with marshalling and distance markers every 1K.

As ever, organisers are keen to stress that this is a race for all abilities from serious runners to novices and with there being a 2K Fun Run in Houston Public Park on the same day, it is an event that very much encourages whole family participation.

The event always has charity at its core and this year it will be run in aid of local groups which support people (and their carers) who live with mental health illness and dementia.

There will be some excellent home baking and refreshments in the halls at the end of race as well as medals for everyone. There will also be trophies/awards for a variety of categories as well as awards for the highest sponsored individual and highest sponsored team.
