Yorkshire Wolds Ultra is a 54K circular trail ultra starting and finishing at Kilnwick Park Ground on the edge of Pocklington. The route explores the Yorkshire Wolds on a mixture of well known and lesser used trails, passing through Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale, Thixendale, Huggate and Fridaythorpe while covering around 4,100 feet of ascent.
Organised by Ultra Trails, the event gives runners up to 12 hours to complete the course, with four checkpoints providing support along the route. The welcoming atmosphere and well organised event make it a popular choice for both experienced ultra runners and those taking on their first ultra.
The course showcases the rolling hills, hidden valleys, wildflower meadows and quiet countryside that define the Yorkshire Wolds. The varied terrain, rewarding climbs and expansive views create a memorable challenge from start to finish.
