The Yetholm Shepherds Show Race is a traditional hill race held at The Haugh in Town Yetholm as part of the annual Yetholm Border Shepherds’ Show. The 6.5K race heads into the hills surrounding the village, bringing a challenging running event to the show’s programme of rural activities and competitions.
Runners tackle approximately 360m of climbing over the 6.5K course, creating a short but demanding hill challenge in the Scottish Borders. The combination of steep terrain and significant ascent makes the race well suited to experienced hill runners looking for a compact and testing course.
A separate 2.9K junior race with approximately 150m of climbing gives younger runners the opportunity to take part. Both races are based at The Haugh, with the hill racing forming part of the wider atmosphere of the Yetholm Border Shepherds’ Show.
