The Wye Valley Tunnel Run is organised by Relish Running Races and takes place from Wyedean School in Sedbury, Chepstow. The event offers 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon distances along the beautiful Wye Valley Greenway, combining historic railway routes with scenic countryside running.
The courses follow the old Wye Valley railway line, with runners passing through the impressive Tidenham Tunnel, a former railway tunnel measuring over 1km in length. The predominantly flat routes use compact stone paths, tarmac and forest tracks, providing a unique multi-terrain experience with views across the Wye Valley.
The event includes marked routes, distance markers, marshal support, drinks stations, timing, finish-line refreshments and a bespoke medal for participants. With its combination of railway heritage, scenic trails and the unforgettable tunnel section, the Wye Valley Tunnel Run offers a memorable race experience for runners of all abilities.
