Woolwich 10K is organised by runhappyrunhealthy and follows a scenic route alongside the River Thames in south east London.
Starting behind the Waterfront Leisure Centre, close to the entrance to Woolwich Foot Tunnel, runners head along the Thames Path with the Thames Barrier providing one of the route's most distinctive landmarks. The course continues beside the river towards Gallions Park, where runners complete a lap of the green space before retracing their route along the Thames to the finish.
The largely riverside course combines urban London landmarks with open views across the Thames and the greener surroundings of Gallions Park, creating a varied setting for the 10K distance.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal, water and a snack. Woolwich railway station and the Woolwich Ferry are both within walking distance of the event area.
