The Woodstock 12 is an established autumn race through the grounds of Blenheim Palace, joined by the new Woodstock 4 for 2026. Both races start from the Pleasure Gardens and follow private roads through the historic Oxfordshire estate, providing a scenic setting away from normal public roads.
Runners in the Woodstock 12 complete three laps of an undulating four mile course, with a main climb towards Combe Gate on each circuit. The route passes through High Garden and alongside some of the estate's oldest oak trees, while the Woodstock 4 completes a single lap of the same course and gives runners a shorter alternative.
Both races are held under UK Athletics regulations, with the Woodstock 12 forming the final event of the Oxfordshire Grand Prix season. The private park roads and historic surroundings create a distinctive running experience within Blenheim Park, with prizes available across the two races and a beer for each finisher.
