The Women’s 10K Edinburgh is a women’s road race through the heart of Scotland’s capital, starting on the historic Royal Mile and finishing at Murrayfield Stadium. The city centre route showcases some of Edinburgh’s best known landmarks and provides an atmospheric setting for the popular 10K distance.
Runners follow an undulating 10K course past the Scottish National Gallery, Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle before passing the Scott Monument and Scottish Parliament. The route continues through Holyrood Park, with views of Arthur’s Seat and Holyrood Palace, before heading through the Grassmarket and towards the stadium finish.
The event welcomes women aged 15 and over, from first time 10K participants to experienced runners. Chip timing, on course hydration and baggage facilities support runners throughout the event, with finishers receiving a medal, technical T-shirt and finisher pack.
