The Women Can Marathon is a women only running festival organised by Sidmouth Running Club in East Devon, inspired by Kathrine Switzer and her pioneering role in women's distance running.
The Marathon starts and finishes in Exmouth and follows a predominantly off road course through the East Devon countryside, using the Exe Estuary, East Devon Way, Otter Valley and South West Coast Path. The Half Marathon starts at Tipton St John and joins the second half of the Marathon route, while the 10K begins at Budleigh Salterton and follows the South West Coast Path to Exmouth.
Aid stations and experienced marshals support runners across the courses, with generous cut off times and optional pre race transport available for the point to point Half Marathon and 10K. All three distances finish together in Exmouth, combining a supportive running environment with some of East Devon's distinctive coastal and countryside scenery.
