The Wolverton 5 is a long established five mile road race organised by Milton Keynes Athletic Club at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. The event follows a fast, flat course around the north and south lakes, offering runners an opportunity to target a personal best on traffic free paths.
The route consists of two laps along the lakeside redways, with open views across the water and surrounding parkland. Held under England Athletics rules, the race features chip timing and attracts runners looking for a competitive five mile challenge. The start and finish are located on the Events Field between the splash park and the watersports café.
All entrants receive a commemorative T-shirt, with prizes awarded across overall and veteran categories. Registration and number collection take place at the Willen Lake Splash Park, where toilets and changing facilities are available. Parking is provided in the nearby Willen Lake car parks, making the venue accessible for runners travelling to the event.
