The Wizard 5 is organised by Wilmslow Running Club and takes place in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. The 5 mile multi terrain race follows a long established route through woodland, farmland and quiet country lanes, with all race proceeds donated to charity.
Starting and finishing near The Wizard Tea Room, the course climbs through the woodland of The Edge before continuing towards Hare Hill via Adders Moss and returning across fields by Daniel Hill. The varied terrain and undulating profile provide a rewarding challenge while showcasing some of Cheshire's most picturesque countryside.
Professional chip timing, experienced marshals and a well organised race day help deliver an excellent running experience. Held under UK Athletics rules, the event also features a mixed team competition, adding another dimension to one of the region's most popular summer multi terrain races.
