If you are race fit and looking for some fun February events then Fix Events' Winter Warmer series provide some great options for runners throughout the north of England. In 2025 there are five Winter Warmers scheduled for the north with locations in Newcastle, Manchester, York, Liverpool and Leeds all of which will offer three distances - 5K, 10K and half marathon.

Up first on 1 February, the Newcastle event will again take place at the city's Exhibition Park with organisers saying the course is flat and mainly on paths with the exception of one section that is stone/trail. Heaton Park will play host to the Manchester event on 2 February and offers runners a similar mixed course - undulating and mainly on paths with the exception of one section that is trail.

Later in the month, runners in York will take on a course at the city's racecourse on 16 February while those in Liverpool can take part on 22 February at Croxteth Park. Leeds concludes the series on 23 February at Temple Newsham.

The Winter Warmer races offer runners a chance to lace up those shoes, get motivated and focus on training during the winter months. There are plenty of entry benefits including full race chip timing, a cool medal, snacks, drinks, some surprise goodies and lots of fun, smiles and support along the way.
