The Winster Hill Race is a traditional 4 mile hill race forming part of the annual Winster Wakes celebrations in the Derbyshire village of Winster. Welcoming runners of all abilities, the event combines a friendly community atmosphere with a varied and rewarding course through the surrounding White Peak countryside.
The route follows a mixture of metalled and unmetalled lanes, public footpaths and open fields, featuring fast descents, steady climbs, narrow trails, stiles and gates along the way.
