The start/finish is near Shotley Bridge Hospital and runners will head up the Derwent Walk to the Waskerley Way. There they will do a few miles around Waskerley Reservoir, Hishope Reservoir and Smiddy Shaw Reservoir before dropping down to Allensford and the Derwent River and follow the Valley along to Blackhall Mill.
A short climb back onto the Derwent Walk before the last 4 miles back to Shotley Bridge.
The route will be well-marked and marshals where necessary, there will be two feed stations, all finishers will get a medal, long sleeved T-shirt, snacks & drinks. There will also be free parking and photography. A perfect event for novice ultrarunners with just 2000ft of climbing over the whole course.
