The Dave Jones Prom 5M is part of Weston Athletic Club’s established Prom Run Series, held along the seafront at Weston-super-Mare. The main race covers two laps of the promenade, with Race HQ at Revo on Marine Parade and a junior 1 mile race taking place before the senior event.
Runners take on an accurately measured 5 mile road course along Weston-super-Mare promenade. The flat seafront setting makes it well suited to runners looking to test their pace over the distance, while the exposed coastal location can add an extra challenge when conditions are breezy. The course is chip timed and staged under UKA rules, with results eligible for Power of 10 rankings.
Race 2 forms part of the nine race series, with runners able to enter individual rounds or take part across the season. Each race has its own prizes, while performances throughout the series also contribute towards the overall individual and team competitions.
