The Walkington 10K is organised by Beverley Athletic Club and takes place from the East Yorkshire village of Walkington. This well established Friday evening event combines a challenging 10K road race with a family fun run, attracting runners of all abilities to enjoy one of the region's most popular summer races.
The UK Athletics licensed 10K follows an undulating route on closed roads through the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds, providing a rewarding challenge and impressive rural scenery. The course is fully marshalled and chip timed, with a water station, medical cover and a commemorative finisher's medal for all finishers. An optional event T-shirt is also available.
Race headquarters is based at Walkington Playing Fields, with parking, refreshments and facilities available on site. Combining excellent organisation, scenic countryside roads and a welcoming village atmosphere, the Walkington 10K has become a popular fixture in the East Yorkshire running calendar.
