The Vermuyden 10K & 5K is organised by Animis Racing Team and takes place within the grounds of 7 Lakes Country Park near Crowle in North Lincolnshire.
Both distances follow traffic free routes entirely within the country park, combining lakeside scenery, woodland surroundings and gently changing terrain. The predominantly level course provides an accessible setting for runners of different abilities, from those taking on their first organised race to experienced competitors looking for a quick time.
The event takes its name from Cornelius Vermuyden, the Dutch engineer whose drainage projects transformed the surrounding landscape during the 17th century. Both races are chip timed, with marked and marshalled courses and a welcoming approach to runners of all abilities.
