Vanguard Way Marathon & Half Marathon

The Vanguard Way Marathon and Half Marathon are organised by 1 Mile Events and explore part of the Vanguard Way National Trail from Croydon towards the North Downs. Both races follow out and back routes, offering runners the opportunity to experience one of south east England's best known long distance walking trails.

The courses follow a mixture of woodland paths, parkland, countryside trails and sections of the North Downs, with sustained climbs and descents creating a rewarding trail running challenge. The Marathon covers the Half Marathon route out and back, while the Half Marathon turns at the halfway point before returning to the finish, with both distances showcasing the varied landscapes of the Vanguard Way.

The event features fully marshalled routes, finisher's medals, technical T shirts, goody bags and post race refreshments. Combining challenging trail running with scenic countryside and National Trail landscapes, the Vanguard Way Marathon and Half Marathon offer a memorable endurance experience close to London.
