The Valley of the Owls Run is a multi distance trail running event organised by Zig Zag Running at the Suffolk Running Centre near Bury St Edmunds. Featuring 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra distances, the event explores the beautiful countryside around Ousden, an area known locally as the Valley of the Owls.
The Half Marathon follows a scenic single lap of the Dalham Kiln route, while the Marathon completes two laps and the Ultra extends beyond the Marathon distance. The 5K and 10K use the Denham Flats route, creating an enjoyable and sociable experience across all distances. The varied trail routes follow quiet country tracks and historic lanes through the rolling Suffolk landscape.
With a seven hour event cut off, well stocked aid stations, bespoke finisher's medals, professional event support and included parking, the Valley of the Owls Run welcomes runners of all abilities. Its flexible distance options and relaxed atmosphere make it a popular fixture in the Suffolk trail running calendar.
