This scenic route takes in the village of Ousden, known as the Valley of the Owls in Suffolk, and features some of the oldest roads in England alongside beautiful countryside views. The event is based at the exclusive Suffolk Running Centre, providing a welcoming and well-organised setting.
The course uses the Dalham Kiln route for the half marathon, which is a single loop, while 5K and 10K participants will follow the Goldings Hills route. The event has a seven-hour cut-off, with a mass start at 9 am, allowing you to run your race at your own pace and choose the distance that suits you best.
Distances available include 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, and ultra marathon. Runners completing distances shorter than a half marathon will follow an out-and-back course with designated turnaround points, creating a social and supportive atmosphere. The half marathon is one loop, the full marathon is two loops, and the ultra marathon extends further with an additional section out to the 5K turnaround point.
Aid stations offering drinks and light refreshments will be available approximately every 10K, ensuring you are supported throughout your run. Parking is included in the entry fee, making arrival straightforward.
The race headquarters and base camp are located at the start and lap point, where the main water and aid station will be set up. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal at the end of the event. If the lucky dip finisher option is selected, where available, participants can choose from a selection of previous or standard finisher medals instead.
Please note that this is a cupless event, so all participants are required to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. In addition, only bone conductor headphones are permitted during the event.
