The Tywarnhayle 10K is a mixed terrain race based at Mount Hawke Cricket Club in Cornwall. The route heads through the countryside towards the coast, taking in sections of the coast path around Chapel Porth and towards Porthtowan before looping around the historic Tywarnhayle Mine area.
Runners face a challenging 10K course featuring footpaths, technical descents, muddy sections and even a stretch through a river. The varied terrain and coastal setting provide a demanding trail style challenge, with views across the surrounding Cornish landscape along the way.
Organised by Truro Running Club, the Tywarnhayle 10K forms part of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Race Series. A separate children’s Tywarnhayle24 takes place after the main race begins, challenging younger participants to complete as many laps of the starting field as possible in 24 minutes.
