Twyford Charity Fun Run

The Twyford Together Charity Family Fun Run is a community running event held at King George V Recreation Ground in Twyford. The programme brings together races for different ages and abilities, culminating in a 3K race open to participants aged 11 and over and providing the longest running challenge of the day.

Runners taking on the 3K complete a dedicated race around the recreation ground, while younger participants can enter 1K and 2K races organised by school year. The programme also includes a 100m pre school toddle for the youngest runners and a three person family relay, with three 250m legs completed by two children under 11 and one adult.

Short sprint races around the recreation ground’s grass labyrinth add another running challenge throughout the morning. With year group prizes, family participation and races covering a range of distances, the event is designed as an accessible introduction to organised running as well as a community race day, with proceeds supporting Twyford Charities Together and local good causes.
