The Two Islands Half Marathon is a scenic point to point road race starting on the Isle of Berneray and finishing in Lochmaddy on North Uist. The officially measured course follows quiet single track roads, crosses the Berneray causeway and offers uninterrupted coastal views for almost the entire route on a gently undulating course.

Now in its 16th year, the event is organised by North Uist Amateur Athletics Club and is intentionally kept small due to its island location. Held towards the end of the island racing season, the race finishes at the Lochmaddy Hotel, where runners can enjoy lunch after completing the course.

The Two Islands Half Marathon provides runners with a rare opportunity to race across two islands on an officially measured Scottish Athletics course. Its peaceful roads, stunning Hebridean scenery and point to point format make it a memorable half marathon for runners looking to experience one of Scotland's most distinctive road races.
