The Two Breweries Hill Race is a long distance hill race through the Scottish Borders, starting at historic Traquair House near Innerleithen and finishing at Broughton Ales brewery. Established in 1983, the point to point race links two local breweries across a demanding route through the surrounding hills.
Runners tackle approximately 29K with around 1500m of ascent across steep hills, open ground and varied mixed terrain between Traquair and Broughton. Classified as a long category hill race, the course demands strong endurance and appropriate hill running experience as it crosses the rugged Borders landscape.
The race has a distinctive connection to the brewing heritage of the area, with finishers traditionally rewarded with a bottle of locally produced beer.
