The June event is the fifth race in the long established Trunce Series, a popular sequence of fell races held throughout the year near Oxspring on the edge of the Peak District. Known for its friendly atmosphere and testing terrain, the series attracts runners of all abilities from across the region.

Covering approximately 3.9 miles (6.2K) with 623ft (190m) of ascent, the course combines trails, fields, steep climbs and fast descents to deliver a challenging fell running experience. Despite its relatively short distance, the route packs plenty of climbing into a compact and demanding course.

Part of an eight race series, the event contributes towards overall season standings in junior, senior and veteran categories. The June race provides another opportunity to tackle one of Yorkshire's best known fell running series and experience the unique character that has made the Trunce a favourite with local runners for generations.
