The Hallmarks Of A Great Event
Try your hand at this unique January event in Stockport...
Annual self-navigating running or walking event, the Three Halls of Stockport, will return in 2025 with the three halls in question now revealed! After a start at Stockport Georgians CC those taking part will have to navigate themselves between Vernon Park Museum, Goyt Hall and Bramall Hall.
The event will take place on 19 January with runners starting at Stockport Georgians before navigating to each of the three halls in no particular order before returning to Stockport Georgians. There will be checkpoints near to each of the halls which can be visited in any order and those taking part need to navigate using public rights of way. Organisers suggest the distance is around 9.5 miles but this is dependent on route choice.
Speaking about their event, they say: "We will provide a suggested route upon request but this won’t be the shortest route, part of the challenge is for you to navigate your own route between each of the halls in no particular order, using your own map to find the shortest route using only public rights of way.
"You do not have to complete all the halls, if one or two is enough for you then you can make your way back to the finish when you’re ready where there will be refreshments waiting for you. To add some spice to the mix, we have added two optional extra halls again this year to create our Five Hall Challenge, which is open to runners only."
After such an impressive running adventure around Stockport, runners will be rewarded with hot food and drinks at the finishline.
