The Three Counties Trot is Billinge Running Club's flagship annual race, taking runners on a scenic 5 mile journey through Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. The fully marked and marshalled route starts at Janet Lalley Field and explores the varied countryside around Billinge.
Runners tackle a lively mix of woodland trails, grass tracks and quiet country lanes, with climbs and descents adding plenty of variety along the way. Sheep Hill provides one of the standout sections, while faster runnable stretches give runners opportunities to pick up the pace across this varied trail course.
Race headquarters are at The Delph Tavern, where registration and bag drop are available before the race. After finishing, runners are welcomed back to the pub for refreshments, results and awards, rounding off this friendly fixture in Billinge Running Club's calendar.
