The Atlantic Coast Challenge is a three day running and walking challenge along the rugged north Cornwall coast, covering approximately 126.5K from near Padstow to Land's End. Participants can complete one, two or all three stages, allowing entrants to take on an individual day or the full coastal journey.
Runners tackle wild and demanding terrain along the South West Coast Path, with steep climbs and descents testing endurance across each stage. The route covers 42.2K from near Padstow to Perranporth, 42.2K from Perranporth to St Ives Bay and 44.3K from Lelant to Land's End, with an emphasis on self navigation and checkpoints approximately every 10K.
Event HQ is based at St Ives Bay Holiday Park in Hayle, with transport provided between the headquarters and the relevant start and finish points each day. Participants carry mandatory safety equipment and receive GPS tracking, medical cover, checkpoint provisions and on course support throughout their chosen stage or stages.
