The Hurt is a challenging trail running event through Hurtwood Forest in the Surrey Hills, offering 15K and 21K distances across the Greensand Ridge.
The routes explore a vast pine forest between Guildford and Dorking, following woodland trails, rocky footpaths, sunken tracks and steep escarpments. Known locally as Little Switzerland, the landscape combines sustained climbs with sharp descents, narrow gullies and potentially muddy conditions. The 15K features approximately 878ft of climbing, while the 21K tackles around 1,551ft.
Both races start together and are chip timed, with water stations positioned along the routes. Runners can expect a demanding off road challenge through some of Surrey's most distinctive woodland scenery. All finishers receive a medal, with prizes for leading runners.
