The Compton Half is a multi terrain Half Marathon organised by Compton Care, starting and finishing at Aldersley Stadium in Wolverhampton.
The predominantly flat course heads beyond the stadium into the surrounding area and South Staffordshire's Smestow Valley, combining fast roads with green corridors, parkland, waterways and open spaces. Long, runnable sections and the relatively flat profile provide good conditions for runners targeting a personal best, while the stadium start and finish give the race a distinctive setting.
The fully marked course is supported by marshals and volunteers, with water stations positioned along the route and a cut off time of three hours and 30 minutes. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and post race refreshments. The event also supports the work of Compton Care, with runners encouraged to fundraise for the charity's specialist care services.
